Doing stretches to use your full range of motion with your joints keeps you in better balance. Coordination and balance will help keep you active. It will also make you less prone to injury from falls and clumsy trips as you get older. Coordination also imroves your brain function which may make you less susceptible to demntia. A recent study reported that dancing regularly improves your coordination and improves your chances of not suffering from dementia.

So these are the seven benefits and reasons you must stretch with any exercise or workout. Consider doing stretches before, during long or intense workouts, and especially after your workout.
